John Lewis & Partners — Rebrand

Lead UI Designer
2018

Background

In 2017–18 the John Lewis Partnership collaborated with Pentagram on developing new unified brand identities and a shared design system. I was hired by John Lewis to help redesign their website incorporating the new brand.

Approach

Responsible for site navigation and large parts of the buying journey I identified where simple, timesaving updates could be used and where there were opportunities for optimisation and improvement.

Result

Working closely with other designers and developers, we created a new online style guide and successfully launched a fresh and contemporary looking website and native apps in September 2018.

“Malin was fantastic to work with. Her attention to detail and commitment to pixel perfect design ensured that we kept our brand shining through even during complex site and feature changes. During her time at John Lewis she was integral to our re-brand and subsequent high value feature development.”
